A low level status yellow rain alert remains in place for Clare this morning.
Met Éireann has forecast heavy showers, which will be prolonged or thundery at times with local hail and some spot flooding likely.
The alert, which also covers Kerry, is in place until 6am tomorrow morning, while a separate yellow wind warning is in place for West Cork and Kerry.
