The battle to reclaim Libya by anti-Gaddafi forces will get a political boost today – as world leaders meet in Paris to discuss the country’s future.
British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkozy will host the conference, which will give the National Transitional Council its first big international platform.
It comes as Russia this morning announced it will formally recognise the NTC as the new Libyan government – having previously refused to do so.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will also attend the conference – in which the NTC will highlight its needs of governance, security, humanitarian aid, and economic reconstruction.
