Works To Modernise Doonbeg Water Mains To Get Underway

Works to significantly reduce leakages in a Clare community plagued by water outages will commence in the coming weeks.

Uisce Eireann has confirmed it will be replacing 4km of water mains along the N67 from Doonbeg village as far as Baltard National School as part of it’s National Leakage Reduction Programme.

The project is expected to be complete by next Spring, and the utility has assured that at least 48 hours notice will be provided in the event of any planned supply disruptions or traffic diversions during the works.

Doonbeg Fianna Fáil Councillor Rita McInerney says it’s vital for the region’s development.
