The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation and SIPTU have suspended the action at University Maternity Hospital Limerick after reaching agreement on a set of proposals from the Workplace Relations Commission.

Midwives were set to withdraw from all clerical admin roles.

The WRC proposals will see an additional 30 nurses and midwives recruited to work at the hospital over the next number of months.
