A woman has been killed and seven people – including two Gardaí – have been injured following a high speed car chase on the M7 last night.

A Garda car was chasing a Volkswagen Polo after reports of a car crashing through the toll on the M7 at Portlaoise.
The car carrying 5 people then rear-ended a Citroen near the Kildare exit.
A woman in her late 30's driving that car – died at the scene.
The road has now re-opened and the Garda Ombudsman Commission is investigating.
