The property was filled with smoke and one person was found to be suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.

An ambulance was requested to attend the scene while the woman was treated by fire crew first responders until paramedics arrived.

The woman was removed by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.

Three children were assessed at the scene by paramedics but they didn’t require hospital treatment.

The fire comes days after the Clare Fire Service issued a warning about stove fires, having reported a spike in such incidents in recent weeks.
