Gardaí in Shannon are investigating an incident where a woman was seriously injured and two Gardaí were also hurt.
The incident occurred in Shannon at around 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday).

Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating an ‘incident of assault’ and that ‘a female was seriously injured during the course of the incident.’
A Garda spokesperson added: “Two members of An Garda Síochána were also assaulted during the course of this incident. They received medical assessment following the incident.
A male (aged in his 20s) was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in County Clare.”
Investigations are ongoing.
