A woman has been hospitalised for injuries sustained in an incident involving a large dog, while out walking her own pet.
The incident happened earlier this week in the Clarecastle area when the large dog, which was being walked on a lead by its owner, lunged at the woman’s small dog and attacked it.

Both the woman and her pet sustained injuries in the incident, which required further treatment.
Clare’s County Dog Warden, Frankie Coote says it goes to show that regardless of whether a dog is on a leash, owners should always take extra care.
