A Garda investigation is underway into a serious assault on a woman on public bus in Clare.
A man, who was travelling on a bus from Ennis to Shannon between 5.45 and 6.10 last Wednesday, grievously assaulted a woman while it was in transit.

The man was arrested by Gardaí on arrival in Shannon.
Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Triona Holohan says “this male in his mid-twenties was charged with a number of offences including Assault Causing Harm and he remains in custody following an appearance at Ennis District Court on the 4th July 2024.
“Shannon Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have been on this bus to please contact them at 061 365900.”
