A garda investigation is underway after a woman was assaulted in her home in Ennis by male intruders.
The incident happened at an apartment on the Lahinch road last Thursday evening.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday last, two men dressed in black and wearing black masks entered an apartment in the Dún na hInse estate in Ennis.
The female resident was assaulted, sustaining minor injuries, after which the men made their escape by jumping the wall at the back of the property.
It’s not yet known if the men were using a vehicle or the direction they left in.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity or a suspicious car in the area, on Thursday night, between half eleven and midnight to come forward.
They’re also anxious to speak with a person who passed near the scene on an electric scooter at about 11.45, wearing a high vis jacket.
