A man is due in court in Kilrush this morning facing charges arising out of a road traffic accident in North Clare last night.
One woman was airlifted to hospital with what Gardaí say are serious but not life-threatening injuries following the incident which occured at Kilshanny just before 6 o'clock.

It's understood that a second woman was also hurt in the two car collision, but that her injuries are minor.
Fire personnel and other emergency services spent around 2 hours at the scene and the road is open this morning.
