Witnesses Sought After Car Collided With Electric Car At North Clare Charging Station

Witnesses are being sought after a car collided with an electric car at a charging point in North Clare.

The incident happened at the electric charging point at the Miltown Malbay Road Car Park in Lahinch last Saturday, sometime between 5 and 5.30pm.

The driver of a blue Cupra Born Estate was charging their vehicle at this charging point when a second vehicle collided with the car.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Catriona Holohan said it’s believed “the second vehicle involved in the collision is a red Nissan Leaf.

“Gardaí in Ennistymon are asking your listeners today if they were in the Miltown Malbay Road car park in Lahinch on Saturday, the 5/4/2025 between 5pm and 5:40pm.

“If they were and they may have witnessed the collision or may know who was driving the red Nissan Leaf, please contact Ennistymon Garda Station on 065 707 2180,” Sergeant Holohan concluded.
