Met Eireann has upgraded its weather warning for County Clare, ahead of strong winds which are expected to hit the county's coast tonight.

Gusts of up to 130 km/h are forecast overnight, with a mid-level Status Orange alert issued for a stretch of counties ranging from Clare to Donegal.
Winds will be strongest in exposed coastal areas, and waves will also be high leading to warnings of potential coastal flooding.
Forecasters say the storm won’t be as severe as the worst weather at the beginning of the year.
