Wililams Misses Out On Man Booker Shortlist

A Clare writer has missed out on being shortlisted for the Man Booker prize.

Dublin-born Niall Williams, who has been living in West Clare for the past 30 years, was long-listed for the prestigious award for his work, 'The History of Rain'

However he, and fellow Irish nominee Joseph O'Neill, are now both out of the running following this morning's announcement.
