There's been a broad welcome for the announcement of a new school in Sixmilebridge.

The Department of Education has approved plans for state of the art building for St Finnachta's National School and it's hoped construction will get underway early in the new year.
Sixmilebridge Councillor John Crowe, who is a member of the school's Board of Management, has been telling me that the entire community are relieved that the project has finally come to fruition.
