There’s widespread relief among Clare businesses as workers begin returning to the office from today.

Employees are going back to the workplace on a phased basis after many have spent the last two years working remotely.

A phased return to the workplace is now underway.

Covid restrictions on workers have been lifted and staff can return to the office on a phased basis from today.

It follows a weekend of celebration in many parts of the hospitality sector across the county, with curfews and restrictions on bar counter service having been lifted.

Jamie Keogh of Boruma Gastro Bar and Nightclub in Killaloe says they’re coming off the back of a busy few days.

Requirements for social distancing have been scrapped and attendance caps at indoor and outdoor events have been lifted.

The requirement for digital COVID certs in all settings except international travel has also been removed.

Orla Flanagan, who’s director of glór, says that measure being taken away in particular is a relief.

Couples planning weddings across the Banner also now do not have to set a limit on the number of guests they invite.

Wedding and Events Planner at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, Grainne McGibney, says they’re already receiving international enquiries about holding weddings in West Clare.
