Widespread Condemnation Of Attacks In France

There's been widespread condemnation following last nights attacks in France.

The Taoiseach has described last nights killing as one of the 'worst atrocities over very many years'. 

The pope's condemned the killings in Paris as "mad terrorist violence" 

The US President, Barack Obama, described the attacks as 'an outrageous attempt to terrorise innocent civilians.'

Here, the President Michael D Higgins has offered his deepest sympathy through President Hollande to the people of France -on what he describes as ' this dreadful loss of life and appalling injuries'.

And, speaking this morning the Taoiseach says his thoughts and those of all the Irish people are with the French citizens.
