A beached 10-metre whale has been discovered off the North Clare coast.

The mammal, which is understood to be a Minky Whale, was discovered two miles from Liscannor last evening.
The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group has been notified and it may take a number of days before the whale, which is now dead, is taken away.
