Clare’s rail commuters are to receive a boost in the near future.
Irish Rail has confirmed to Clare FM that an online ticket booking system for the Western Rail Corridor will be operational within ‘a matter of days.’
Passengers have been unable to use the internet to buy tickets for the Limerick-Ennis-Galway rail-line since it opened in March of 2010.
Irish Rail says the step is among a range of initiatives aimed at growing passengers numbers, and that is remains committed to the route.
