It’s claimed Clare children with disabilities are being forced to travel well beyond the county bounds for basic care.
It follows revelations that two funded dietitian posts for the West Clare Children’s Disability Network Team have remained unfilled for the past 18 months.

The roles concerned involve one Senior Dietitian post and one Staff Grade Dietitian post that would normally assist children aged 0-18 years.
Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Cooney has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan the HSE needs to prioritise recruitment of these roles with urgency.
