Giving newcomers an opportunity to integrate will be the aim of an event taking place in a West Clare village this weekend.
Doonbeg Community Development is hosting a ‘Community Connect’ evening in the Community Hall on Saturday from 5pm to 8pm.

Targeted at those who’ve recently moved to the area or visit seasonally, the event will give people a chance to meet local groups, learn about services and form new connections.
Tommy Comerford of Doonbeg Community Development says many residents may have skills that could be of use.
