A Clare Independent TD is warning that further closures of childcare settings will plunge parents into “chaos”.
Over 70 childcare providers have closed their doors nationwide in the last year with spiralling costs such as utility and wage bills cited as major obstacles.

The scarcity of childcare services in this county has been consistently highlighted in recent times with an independent survey carried out last month finding that there is no childcare available for babies from 6 months to twelve months in Clare.
Kilrush Deputy Violet-Anne Wynne says the lack of accessibility of childcare could force people to become stay-at-home parents.
