A West Clare psychiatrist insists ‘more work needs to be done’ in how mental health issues are addressed in workplaces.
It comes after a new survey revealed up to two thirds of people believe mental health difficulties are seen as ‘a failure’ in Irish society.

It also found one quarter of respondents are experiencing psychological issues for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Spanish Point’s Dr John Hillery, who is a former President of the College Of Psychiatrists of Ireland, says expressing issues can be particularly difficult in a workplace setting.
