West Clare MD Agrees To Put Forward Carrigaholt And Doolin For Rural Wastewater Scheme

The West Clare Municipal District has selected its two villages of choice to be considered for the council’s next application to the rural wastewater infrastructure scheme.

Last year, Braodford and Cooraclare were both included in the state’s €50m pilot programme, which aims to connect unsewered settlements to treatment plants.

Each electoral area is now in the process of developing plans for their preferred locations this year and so far Carrigaholt and Doolin have been confirmed as the focus of the Kilrush and Ennistymon LEAs respectively.
