A West Clare jet ski owner is calling for better engagement between swimmers and watercraft users over shared water space.
This week, complaints arose about the use of jet skis in Mountshannon threatening swimmer’s safety.
Responding to the allegations, Ken O’Connell, of Kilkee Water Craft Club, says the issues surround the use of piers and harbours by swimmers, when these areas are designated as launch pads for jet skis and boats.
