West Clare Farmer Calls For Transparency As China Beef Market Reopens

A West Clare beef farmer is calling for greater transparency from the meat industry on its process for testing for diseases.

It’s after China reopened its markets to Irish beef for the first time in almost three years.

The market had been closed in May 2020 due to what the government says was an “isolated case” of BSE, also known as mad-cow disease.
