A west Clare women who’s a double transplant recipient is reminding the public that organ donation is both life-changing and life-saving.
Today marks World Kidney Awareness Day, and acts as a reminder that approximately 1 in 10 people will be affected by Chronic Kidney Disease – with many unaware they have it.
Miltown Malbay resident Aine Mae O’Mahony received a kidney and pancreas transplant in 2017, after being diagnosed with diabetes as a child.
