The woman killed in a road traffic accident close to Miltown Malbay last night has been named locally as Catherine Lynch.

The 56 year old, from the Quilty area, was the only occupant of a car which left the road and crashed into a field on the L2114 at Shanaway at around 11 o'clock last night.
A post-mortem examination has taken place today at University Hospital Limerick.
