West Clare Councillor Accuses Government Of ‘Hidden Agenda’ To ‘Phase Out’ Rural Communities

A West Clare Councillor is accusing the Government of having a ‘hidden agenda’ to ‘phase out’ rural communities in this county and beyond.

Elected representatives in this county are to meet with the Planning Regulator in the near future amid concerns of the impact of national policies on towns and villages in Clare.

Submissions in relation to Clare’s County Development Plan 2023-2029 are currently being considered following an extensive public consultation process.
