West Clare Coach Operator Says Industry Struggling With Driver Shortages

A West Clare coach operator says he’s fearful for the industry’s future as it struggles with driver shortages.

Unfilled jobs are understood to be soaring in the sector, with some businesses scaling back operations despite the return of international travel and the easing of pandemic restrictions.

A report published by the Coach Tourism & Transport Council of Ireland estimated operators saw business fall by up to 95 percent due to COVID-19.
