West Clare Candidates go Head to Head

Inconsistencies in rural planning, local roads and sewerage, as well as the contentious right of way issue at Doonbeg Golf Club are among the issues for debate today as candidates in the Kilrush electoral area go head to head in their only public debate.

The area representing West Clare on Clare County Council will have it’s number of councillors reduced from 7 to 6 after the June fifth polls, due to electoral changes, and 9 candidates have put themselves forwards to contest these seats.

The 8 men and one woman will be guests of Clare FM’s Morning Focus, which will broadcast live from Kilrush from 9.
