A West Clare adoptee is describing the Government’s abandonment of an independent review into mother and baby home testimony as ‘really hurtful’.
Proposals to appoint an international human rights expert to re-examine the written testimony given to the Mother and Baby Homes Commission are no longer going ahead.

The commitment had initially come after concerns were raised by survivors and academics in relation to how testimony provided to the confidential committee was handled.
