Yellow Weather Alert Remains In Place for Clare

Two yellow weather alerts remains in place for this morning.

Met Eireann has forecast winds of up to 65 kilometres per hour, and gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour for the day, with coastal areas the worst affected.

A combination of spring tides and high seas will result in a risk of coastal flooding, especially around high tide.

The alert, which also covers counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Kerry remains in place until 8 o’clock this evening.

Meanwhile, a snow and ice warning is in place for the entire country until midnight tonight.

Drivers are being warned of icy conditions on roads across the country this morning, while there’s also a report of a fallen tree on the road between Bodyke and Broadford.
