Yellow Weather Alert For Clare Comes Into Effect This Afternoon

A low-level wind warning comes into effect for Clare this afternoon.

Met Éireann is forecasting gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour and is warning that the strong winds and high tides may lead to some coastal flooding.

The alert, which also covers Galway, Limerick, Mayo, Cork and Kerry comes into effect from 3pm, and will run until the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Clare County Council is advising members of the public to exercise caution, especially anyone driving in coastal areas or on high ground.
