Met Éireann Warns Motorists To Be On Alert Following Subzero Temperatures Overnight

Met Éireann is warning drivers in Clare to be prepared for hazardous driving conditions, following subzero temperatures overnight.

A status orange snow/ice warning was replaced by a status yellow warning at 3am this morning, with the low level alert remaining in place until noon.

The national forecaster is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary journeys this morning, as wintry showers which fell over night are now likely to freeze as temperatures dip below zero.
