Drivers in Clare are being warned of hazardous conditions on the roads this morning due to snow and ice.
A Status Yellow alert came into effect last night for the entire country, with many areas experiencing showers of hail, sleet and snow overnight. The warning is due to expire at midday.
A separate status yellow weather alert is in place for Clare from 8 o’clock this morning, as well as Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, with very strong and gusty west to northwest winds forecast up until 6 o’clock this evening.
