Weather Worsens In New South Wales Fire Battle

Strong winds are blowing through the Blue Mountains West of Sydney where firefighters are still struggling to contain huge bushfires.

As the crisis enters its 7th day there are still 65 fires raging across the state with 18 of them uncontained. New alerts have been issued warning people to leave threatened areas.

High temperatures and winds of up to 60 miles-per-hour are forecast.
