Weather Woes For Clare Once More

Showers of sleet and snow have led to dangerous driving conditions in many parts of Clare this morning.

Gardaí are urging extreme caution, and already there has been at least one minor accident on the Ennis side of Kilrush, just past Shaughnessy's Cross – delays are expected in the area for the next short while.

Snow has built up on different parts of the Motorway, including from Ennis to Crusheen and around the Dromoland Exit.

Issues have also been reported between Darragh and Lissycasey, in East Clare from Bodyke to Tulla, between Ennis and Ennistymon, from Doonbeg to Kilkee and in South Galway at Ardrahan and between Loughrea and Gort.

Bus Eireann says its 7:25 service from Scariff to Limerick has failed to operate as yet while all other services are operating with some delays

Met Eireann warn that a Status Yellow snow-ice warning remains in place until this evening with accumulations of snow possible, even on lower ground.
