Clare IFA says weather will play a huge part in the commencement of storm damage and coastal repair works in flood hit areas areas of the county.

It follows the announcement of an additional 1.4 million euro for repair works on the Shannon Estuary and River Fergus embankments which were devastated by storm damage in early 2014.
The Irish Farmers Association submitted two projects to the Department of the OPW following consultation with engineers.
A tendering process will now get underway but Clare IFA Chairman Andrew Dundas hopes work will get underway in the next six months.
