Another weather warning is in place for most parts today – as strong winds and heavy rain is expected to batter the country.

Up to 40 millimetres of rain is expected – and the rain may be preceded by falls of snow- especially over the Midlands, north and Northwest.
South-east gales or strong gales will also spread to all Irish Coastal Waters and the Irish Sea during the day.
