Clare County Council is urging anyone in flodd prone areas to take precautions tonight as Met Éireann is predicting flooding and up to 40 milimetres of rain in Clare overnight.

The forecaster has issued an Orange weather warning for Munster and Leinster this afternoon – with the worst of conditions expected here around midnight.
According to Met Éireann 25 milimeters of rain fell in the last 24 hours here.
