The Western Regional Manager for Waterways Ireland has confirmed plans to complete the Shannon Greenway by 2026 at the earliest.
Public consultation on the proposed route options for the Greenway is currently underway and runs until June 3rd.

An event is planned this evening in the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel between 5pm and 8pm to allow people in the area to weigh in on the development of the project, with a further meeting having been held in Clonlara last night.
Éanna Rowe from Waterways Ireland says it’s crucial that members of the public have their say on the Greenway’s development.
