Homes and businesses in Clarecastle are expected to be without water until late tonight following a burst watermain.
Uisce Éireann has confirmed expert water service crews are carrying out the required repair works, with the operation due to take place until 6pm.
A traffic management plan is in place for the duration of the works and the water utility is advising that it typically takes three to four fours for normal supply to be fully restored as the water refills the network.
Those affected by the burst can expert low water pressure, temporary water discolouration or intermittent disruptions to water supply throughout the day,
Uisce Éireann says it regrets the inconvenience caused and “would like to thank impacted customers for their patience” while it works to restore water supply as quickly as possible.
