Water Supply In Cratloe and Parteen Areas Returned Following Storm Darragh

Normal water supply has been restored to homes and businesses in south-east Clare following Storm Darragh.

Customers in the Cratloe and Parteen regions experienced supply disruptions at the weekend due to a power outage at the water treatment plant caused by gale force winds.

Uisce Éireann says that as the network refills and supply returns, customers at various points of the network may experience intermittent disruption, low water pressure or short-term discolouration.

The water utility has confirmed that an alternative water supply in the form of bulk containers will remain in place today at the Woodcross Bar in Cratloe.

Customers are urged to report loss of service or visible leaks to assist Uisce Éireann to identify bursts.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries. For updates please visit the Water Supply Updates section of water.ie
