Parents planning to hit the county’s beaches today are being urged to ensure their young children are within view at all times.

The warning comes as families once again throng to coastal spots today as temperatures are expected to soar to 30 degrees.
There have already been a number of incidents of lost children and Clare’s Water Safety officer Liam Griffin says it can be a potential dangerous distraction for lifeguards.
He’s urging parents to be more vigilant.
