Water Notice May Remain In Place In South East Clare Until Late This Week – Irish Water

Irish Water say it could be another number of days before a do not consume notice is lifted for around 7,500 customers in South East Clare.

Thousands of residents on the Shannon/Sixmilebridge public supply are now unable to drink from the mains for more than a week after dangerous levels of manganese were found in it.

Engineers are continuing work and it’s understood while the level of the mineral in the supply has subsided, it’s not yet deemed safe to consume.
