Homes and businesses in parts of South East Clare are experiencing disruption to their water supply this morning following operational issues at the Castlelake Water Treatment Plant.
Uisce Éireann says crews are working to restore water supply to customers in Shannon town, Sixmilebridge, Cratloe, Kilkishen, Quin, Kilmurray and surrounding areas
The utility says customers may experience disruption or a loss of pressure, as well as short-term discolouration to their water supply and in the case of discolouration, running the cold kitchen tap for several minutes, will usually restore the water to a clear colour.
Uisce Éireann is acknowledging the inconvenience of the unplanned outage and is reassuring that they’re working to rectify the issue as quickly as possible.
