Warning That Staffless Libraries Could Put Children At Risk

IMPACT’s Clare representative says staffless libraries will undermine child safety protocols put young people at risk.

The union is opposing plans to roll out unmanned opening hours to 23 libraries nationwide, including in Ennis.

Their conference yesterday heard there were six reported incidents of children being left unsupervised in libraries when the programme was piloted.
