A warning is being issued in Clare that “a stolen ring buoy is a stolen life”.
With a warm spell of weather now underway, Clare County Council is urging the publc not to tamper with ring buoys beside rivers, lakes, canals or along the coastline.

Anyone who observes a missing, stolen or damaged ring buoy can report it to the local authority at 065 682 6270 or report it to watersafety.ie.
