Warning Of Increased Dog Fouling Across Clare

Clare’s County Dog Warden is warning pet owners of the consequences of failing to dispose of their litter correctly.

It comes amid a spate of reports of dog fouling last weekend at sites such as the Lahinch promenade, while bags containing faeces were also found discarded in trees along the walking trail in Lees Road in Ennis.

From 2018 to April of last year, just five dog fouling fines were issued in Clare.

Clare County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says the behaviour is destroying vital civic amenities.
